M-CBLDAT-1 Rev A
Using CBLDAT-1 with TRANGOLINK SOFTWARE
CBLDAT-1 is used to interface to Trango Systems, Inc. video transmitters and
receivers only to change settings. Use CBLDAT-1 to configure Data Pass Through
mode; do not use it to send user data in Data Pass Through mode.
Changes in TRANGOLINK release 3.00
1) TrangoLink 3.00 includes support for new radios:
VTX2500
VRX2500
VTX5900
VRX5900
2) VTX radios will no longer change channel when TrangoLink is started.
Known Issues in 3.00
1) If the wrong port is selected or there is a problem with the connection to the
radio, on some PCs TrangoLink will display “Connected to VRX2400”. Always
verify that the bottom of the panel indicates the correct type of radio.
2) If a VTX transmitter (VTX2400, VTX2500, VTX5800, VTX5900) is
connected to a PC with CBLDAT-1, the radio MAY immediately go into Prestandby
mode and then Standby mode when the cable is connected or the radio is
turned on.
This happens because of the serial port’s default configuration which is not
overridden until TrangoLink is started.
The solution to this problem is to do one of the following:
1) Disconnect CBLDAT-1, start TrangoLink, reconnect CBLDAT-1, then
select the port in TrangoLink.
2) Turn off the radio, start TrangoLink, turn the radio back on, then select the
port in TrangoLink.
In either case, running TrangoLink before having the radio physically
connected or powered on will solve the problem.
